Tamiya re-introduced the beautifully detailed 14058 1/12 Yamaha FZR750R (OW01) model kit in 2025.


Kit Includes:

  • A newly-added B5-size double-sided pamphlet with colour photos for painting reference
  • Two piece clear fairing
  • A realistic depiction of the DOHC inline-4 engine including auxiliary equipment such as carburettors and radiator
  • Vinyl tubing for various cables
  • Screw-attached engine and fairing using the kit-included screwdriver
  • Metal coil spring for rear suspension
  • 3-spoke wheels are paired with synthetic rubber tyres featuring accurate tread patterns.

    (paints, glue, tools etc are NOT included)

This is a 1/12 scale plastic model kit which will require assembly and painting, approximate measurements - Length: 174mm, width: 62mm, height: 96mm


During the 1988 Paris Show, the Yamaha Motor Company exhibited their motorcycle technology with the limited production, street-legal “works racer” designated FZR750R (OW01). The 5-valve DOHC inline-4 engine featured titanium connecting rods, enlarged intake and exhaust ports, and EXUP (Exhaust Ultimate Power) system to ensure high output. The swing arm rear suspension, and lateral “Deltabox” aluminium box frame follows the YZF design, providing exceptional weight savings and rigidity. This motorcycle was delivered to only a thousand lucky riders around the world.
